Handle Care: The Essentials

Dirt build up on cupboard handles is an issue that many homeowners face. This build up can be caused by a variety of factors such as dust, grease, and other particles that accumulate over time. Without proper cleaning and maintenance, the dirt can become difficult to remove and make your kitchen look unappealing. Fortunately, there are several methods you can use to get rid of this dirt build up on cupboard handles, allowing you to keep your kitchen looking tidy and neat.

Protecting Handles with Lacquer

Our cabinet handles and knobs come with a lacquer which protects them from the external atmosphere and will prevent any corrosion occurring.

It is important to keep the lacquer intact, and for this reason we recommend only using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge, and a solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water.

Recommended Cleaning Methods for Lacquered Handles

A non-abrasive cloth is a type of fabric that is designed to be gentle on surfaces, yet still effective in cleaning. These cloths are typically made from a variety of materials such as microfiber, cotton, and synthetic fibres. The fibres are woven together tightly to form a soft and durable material that can effectively remove dirt, dust, and other debris without scratching or damaging surfaces.

A quick wipe down of your handles using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge and a solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water, followed by a drying-off with a tea towel should be adequate for regular care and maintenance to keep your cupboard handles clean, hygienic and looking pristine.
